About Alan B. Helig, DDS
Dr. Helig is a native of Washington DC. He graduated from Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda Maryland and then received his BA at Park College in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Helig graduated from Georgetown University Dental School in 1980. He then went on to associate with Dr. Selig Chester and Dr. Philip Maiese before opening his private practice in 1985. Dr. Helig is an active member of the American Dental Association and the District of Columbia Dental Society. Dr. Helig spends considerable time every year taking continuing education classes. Dr. Helig enjoys scuba diving and has taught scuba classes locally. He also is passionate about motorcycling. He got his motorcycle license in 1968 and has toured some of the most scenic areas of the US and he plans to ride the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia in the future. Dr. Helig has been married to Susan since 1988 and they have 3 boys. Dr. Helig has a family oriented practice and enjoys working with patients of all ages.
