About Adrian H. Pelaez, DDS
Dr. Adrian Hernan Pelaez is a native Southern Californian who grew up in the city of West Covina with his family who immigrated from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dr. Pelaez attended West Covina High School after which Dr. Pelaez started his career in the dental field as a Registered Dental Assistant where he learned first-hand the importance of treating patients in a serene and comfortable environment. Thereafter, Dr. Pelaez attended California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (“Cal Poly”), graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology-Medical Technology and a minor in Chemistry. While at Cal Poly, Dr. Pelaez would meet Dr. Haris Hashimi in the Cal Poly Pre-Dental Club and they would become instant friends and soon learn that they had similar philosophies regarding patient care. Dr. Pelaez continued his journey toward dentistry at the prestigious University of California, San Francisco (“UCSF”) Dental School where he was taught by some of the most well regarded professors and practitioners in the dental field while living just miles from Golden Gate Park. He further honed his dental skills at UCSF’s on site dental clinic and gave back to the community by volunteering at UCSF’s “Homeless Clinic” and La Clinica De La Raza.
