About Tamer El-Gendy, DMD
Dr. Tamer El-Gendy is an Associate Professor and Director of Prosthodontic Department at The Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. He graduated from Cairo University (Egypt) – School of Dentistry in 1996. He completed his Advanced Prosthodontic training and his Masters degree at the University of Minnesota in 2001. He also completed a Postdoctoral Implant Dentistry Fellowship at The Ohio State University in 2002 where he focused on restoring advanced implant patients and treating implant complications. In 2002, he became a full-time assistant professor at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He was awarded the Larry Peterson Outstanding Young Educator Award by the Ohio State University in 2004 and The Outstanding Teacher of the year in 2005 and 2009. He teaches Complete Denture, All ceramic restorations and Dental Implant course to pre-doctoral and graduate students at The Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral health. He lectures nationally and internationally in several continuing education courses and meetings.
