About Sumanya V. Rao, DMD
Dr. Sumanya Venkat Rao is an ambitious and personable general dentist, who loves her work and really enjoys building relationships with her patients. She believes that communication and comfort are essential, and really treats all her patients like her own family. Dr. Rao has been setting the highest standards in general and cosmetic dentistry since 2014. Highly educated, she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (D.M.D.) from The State University of New York at Buffalo and Bachelor of Dental Sciences from Rajiv Gandhi University, India. Dr. Rao has tremendous of experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults, as well as those who suffer from dental anxiety. Dr. Rao feels it is important to stay on the cutting-edge of dentistry in order to offer the most advanced treatments. Dr. Rao’s love for children can be seen every day in the office as she spends a lot of time with our little members giving them a perfect dental experience not only providing highest standard of oral care but developing a good foundation of dental care and lifelong dental needs. She is meticulous, knowledgeable, and always concerned with your comfort during the dental procedure and very careful to pay attention to every detail during treatment. She is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Maryland State Dental Association (MSDA) and Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).
