About Stephen Kozelko, DDS
Dr. Kozelko, a native of Traverse City, Michigan has been practicing dentistry in Traverse City since 1975. Having grown up in Traverse City he graduated from Traverse City Central High School in 1968. He went on to receive his Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University in 1971. He continued to the University of Michigan Dental School, receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1975. With his dedication to learning, Dr. Kozelko has spent countless hours in continuing education to be able to deliver excellence and cutting edge technology and dentistry to his patients. He is committed to offering excellence and the best dentistry has to offer. He has had extensive training and has received numerous Continuing Education Certificates in Dental Implant Treatment, Planning and Restoration. He has certificates from several learning institutions and excels in all areas of Cosmetic Dentistry including Porcelain Veneers, Bonding, Crowns, Bridges and Teeth Whitening procedures. He believes the health of the gums, supporting bone, jaw joint and muscles of the head and neck plays an important role in the overall health of his patients. He excels in treating disorders of the jaw joint. He has taken training and received certification from numerous post graduate institutions in all aspects of Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Kozelko brings technical excellence in fabricating full and partial dentures. Along with having an On-Site Lab the patient benefits in time and precision fit for all removable dentures, as well as crown and bridge procedures. On a personal note, Dr. Kozelko is a second generation dentist. His father, founder of the practice, was a general dentist with the University of Michigan dental unit stationed in Europe during World War II. Upon return from the war in 1945, Dr. Kozelko, Sr. located to the Traverse City area and started his general dental practice in 1946. Dr. Kozelko, Sr. and his wife raised six children, with two of them continuing his legacy in dentistry. Dr. Kozelko, Jr. joined his father’s practice in 1975 upon his graduation from the University of Michigan Dental School. Dr. Kozelko’s brother, Tom, has also built his career in dentistry being a dental technician in the On-Site Full Service Lab in the office.
