About Roy Yanase, DDS
Dr. Roy T. Yanase, an internationally prominent prosthodontist, practiced in Orange County for more than two decades, and in Torrance for more than four decades. He graduated from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC in 1969 and returned for a certificate in advanced training in prosthodontics in 1975. He achieved Board Certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics in 1981. Concurrent with his private practice in the dental specialty dealing with implant dentistry and other dental restorative procedures, Dr. Yanase has been on the faculty of the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC since 1970. He started teaching Operative Dentistry in 1969, and continued teaching as a Clinical Professor through 1977. He taught until 1996 as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Advanced Education of Prosthodontics department. Currently, Dr. Roy has a dual appointment as a Clinical Professor of Continuing Education (1996) and Advanced Prosthodontic Education (2000).
