Dr. Rung has been in private practice in Connecticut after an honorable discharge from the Air Force from 1992 until the present. Our practice is situated in one of the oldest and most preserved neighborhoods in Waterbury. Town Plot is traditionally the Italian section of Waterbury, as is evidenced by the Italian Rag colors that adorn the center line on Highland Avenue. Dr. Rung and his staff are very committed to the community through charitable donations and community event attendance. They enjoy interacting with our patients and have forged lasting personal relationships with many of them throughout the years. In addition to Dr. Rung’s commitment to his patients and the neighborhood, our entire clinical staff is committed to ongoing continuing education. All support staff (dental assistants and dental hygienists) regularly attend practice-sponsored continuing education classes. One of our dental hygienists is even a part-time clinical instructor at Tunxis Community College. Dr. Rung continually attends both online symposia and classroom seminars on a variety of topics in order to stay abreast of ever-evolving clinical techniques and diagnostic discoveries. Dr. Rung has been a member of the greater Waterbury community since birth. Born at Waterbury Hospital in 1961, Dr. Rung grew up in Beacon Falls before moving to Naugatuck as a child. Dr. Rung attended Holy Cross High School until graduation in 1979. Currently, Dr. Rung resides in Southbury, CT, with his wife, Wendy. Community ties have remained in place since childhood through golf league play at Hop Brook Golf Course and Heritage Village Country Club. Dr. Rung is also a member of the Greater Waterbury Chamber of Commerce and the Waterbury Elks.
