About Richard M. Kanter, DMD
Dr. Richard M. Kanter received his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1974. After completing his Air Force commitment at MacDill Air Force Base, he began his private practice at North Pointe Dental Associates. Dr. Kanter has attended more than 2000 hours of post-graduate courses to master the art and science of dentistry and to provide the highest quality of care possible to his patients. His areas of particular interest are restorative and cosmetic dentistry. He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and a post-graduate student of the prestigious L. D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education. He is a member of the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and a founding member of the Tampa chapter of the prestigious Seattle Study Club. Dr. Kanter’s additional honors include being President of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry and President of the Florida Academy of General Dentistry. He is presently serving as an elected Trustee of the national Academy of General Dentistry.
