About Peter A. Contos, DDS
Born in Chicago to a Greek family and fluent in the language, Dr. Contos attended Dental School at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of Dayton in Ohio. Dr. Contos is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association, among others, and currently serves as a member of the Alumni Board of the University of Illinois at Chicago Dental School. The office is fluent in English, Greek, Spanish, and Bulgarian. Dr. Contos specializes in Teeth Whitening, Bonding, Restorations/Fillings, Inlays and Onlays, Invisalign, Porcelain Veneers, Crowns, Bridges, Dentures, Dental Implants, Mini Implants, Extractions, Non-surgical Root Canals, and Dental Sealants using with the latest digital X-Rays (with the least radiation), Intraoral and digital imaging, and paperless record keeping. Dr. Contos volunteers his time to many health fairs around Chicago and services numerous Nursing Homes in the State of Illinois to provide increased access to care. In 2006, Dr. Contos was selected to participate in a highly selective pilot program with a goal of providing preventative dental treatment to Chicago public elementary, middle and high school students in order to provide research to the CDC and State of Illinois. Dr. Contos prides himself on providing high quality, personalized dental care in accordance to his patients’ needs and desires. In his free time, Dr. Contos enjoys gardening, playing tennis, trivia, traveling and anything to do with history. Dr. Contos strives to provide the best individual oral care to keep his patients healthy and empower them to take ownership of their oral health.
