About Michael Henderson, DDS
Dr. Michael Henderson graduated from Hampton University in 1992. He went on to earn his D.D.S. from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, graduating in 1996. Dr. Henderson co-owned and operated two successful restorative and cosmetic dental practices in Southfield and Oak Park, Michigan for 14 years. In 2010 he relocated to the Chicago area with his wife, Dr. Dionne Henderson, and their four children after securing a contract with the Chicago Public School's Dental Sealant Program. Dr. Henderson and his wife, Dr. Dionne Henderson founded a mobile dental company, Smiles of Tomorrow, in 2009 to provide on-site preventive dental services to children throughout the Chicago area. Smiles of Tomorrow ha successfully serviced over 60,000 children in and around Chicago, and has fostered numerous community partnerships dedicated to the health and wellbeing of area children. In 2010, Drs. Henderson opened The Smile Boutique in response to a need to return to clinical dentistry and provide high quality dental care to their friends, family and to the community at large. Dr. Henderson decided to return to the Detroit area in 2017 to be closer to family. Dr. Michael Henderson particularly enjoys the art of transforming smiles. This includes interceptive and simple orthodontics, including clear aligners, Cosmetic Dentistry including Porcelain Laminate Veneers, Porcelain Inlays and Onlays, all crown and bridge work as well as composite resin (tooth colored) fillings. Dr. Henderson continues to take advanced dental training in various aspects of dentistry. He has tirelessly worked to be recognized as a generous and compassionate dentist who enjoys giving back to his community.
