About Matthew Hubis, DDS
Dr. Matthew Hubis grew up and went to High School in Florence, South Carolina. He moved to Charleston, South Carolina in 1998 to attend the College of Charleston. Upon graduation, Cum Laude in 2002, he decided to make plans to attend dental school. He was accepted to his first choice, The Medical University of South Carolina School of Dental Medicine, in Charleston, South Carolina. On the first day of dental school is where he met his eventual wife, Dr. Emily Olson Hubis, from Rock Hill, South Carolina. The couple was married in the summer of 2006 and graduated dental school in 2007. Since 2007, Dr. Hubis has developed many interests within General Dentistry. He really enjoys meeting new patients and helping them understand their dental situation while helping them decide how to improve their health. His favorite procedures include esthetic ceramic crowns, extractions, implant placement and bone grafting. He also enjoys discussing airway issues with patients and helping in treatment to improve breathing during sleep. In his free time Dr. Hubis enjoys spending time with his wife, Emily, six year old son, James, eight year old daughter, Audrey, and two dogs, Lola and Mira. The family enjoys traveling, especially to visit their cousins on both sides of the family. Dr. Hubis is an avid golfer and is currently supporting his son and daughter as they learn the sport. He also enjoys fishing, sporting clays, snow skiing and spin classes on his Peloton.
