About Mark A. Williams, DMD
Dr Mark A. Williams II was born and raised in Houston, TX and is a graduate from Prairie View A&M University, with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. At Prairie View, he received many accolades including: Tri Beta Honor Society, graduating with honors, was named Mr. Prairie View and represented to school as an ambassador and President of the Eta Gamma Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. There he honed is love and passion for the field of dentistry and began to peruse it fully. Upon completing Prairie View, Dr. Williams went to Dental School at the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health in beautiful Mesa, Arizona, and also received a dual degree with a Masters of Public Health. In dental school he was also accepted into Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity He then attended residency at the University Of Texas Dental School in the medical center of Houston with a certificate in the Advanced Education General Dentistry. During that time he become Chief Resident and also awarded the top honor of Resident of the year award. Through his matriculation in his dental journey, he has become an active member in multiple dental organizations including: Greater Houston Dental Society, National Dental Society, Academy of General Dentist, Houston Minority Dental Society and Texas Dental Association. Dr. Williams now is an associate at Aqua Dental, an avid volunteer dentist with the City of Houston and a volunteer instructor at the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. Dr Williams has special interests in: restorative, prosthodontics, cosmetics and orthodontic dentistry. Dr. Williams is very active in the city of Houston and is involved in many community service and social organizations. He is very excited to give back his time and skills to the city that raised him. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Williams loves to spend time with friends and family, travel, workout and be exposed to new things. In the field of dentistry, Dr Willliams believes in comprehensive conservative personalized treatment with an emphasis in patient comfort and education. He believes in building a relationship with the patient and treating patients like family. He wants to change the negative stigma about “going to the dentist” to an experience that will be productive, informative and pleasant. What you see as a problem, he sees as potential. Old fashioned values incorporated with modern technology is the key to great dentistry.
