About Mark B. Martin, DDS
Dr. Mark Martin is committed to affording the highest quality of treatment possible in dentistry. He goes above and beyond to connect with his patients as individuals, listening to their needs and concerns, and taking a genuine interest in their lives. Following a thorough exam, he will review his findings with you, carefully explain what treatment will be necessary to accomplish your goals, and address your dental needs. Dr. Martin is always available after hours for those unexpected dental emergencies. He hopes that each patient leaves feeling comfortable with the attention and treatment they received from himself and his team. Dr. Martin has been practicing dentistry in his Escondido office since 1987. He did his undergraduate work at U.C. San Diego before going to Georgetown University Dental School in Washington, D.C. Dr. Martin graduated in the top 10 of his 1987 graduating class. After dental school, he was selected to participate in the General Practice Residency Program at U.S.C. / L.A County Hospital, where he learned more advanced dental surgeries and techniques. Dr. Martin is one of only 149 actively practicing general dentists (out of over 20,000 general dentists) in the state of California to receive his Mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry. Less than one percent of the general practitioner population in California have ever achieved this goal. He is a member of the San Diego Dental Society, The California Dental Society, The American Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Martin chose to return to his hometown of Escondido in order to raise his family and create his dental practice. In his spare time, Dr. Martin enjoys boating, fishing, woodworking, and photography. He has won several awards for his photos.
