About Mark P. Kienle, MD
Dr. Mark Kienle was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He attended The Ohio State University and received early acceptance to dental school at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). While at UNLV, Dr. Kienle was accepted into a joint DMD/MBA program with the College of Business. He graduated with high honors in both programs in 2007. Dr. Kienle was then accepted into the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency/MD program at the University of Pennsylvania. This six-year program included an accelerated MD at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, a two-year certificate of General Surgery training (including rotations on plastic surgery and pediatric plastic surgery) at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and an advanced specialty certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He successfully completed the rigorous process of becoming board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2015. Dr. Kienle’s surgical interests are facial reconstructive surgery, dental implant surgery, bone grafting, the removal of impacted wisdom teeth, and general anesthesia. Dr. Kienle resides in Philadelphia. He enjoys visiting with his nieces and family, travelling abroad and running outdoors. One of his proudest accomplishments is completing the Bank of America Chicago Marathon in 2008.
