About Lawrence M. Addleson, DDS
Dr. Lawrence Addleson is a highly respected aesthetic general dentist with years of special training and experience in cosmetic dentistry. At The Art of Dentistry, Dr. Addleson’s focus is reconstructive, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry. His extensive knowledge and passion for beautiful, natural appearing smile design and makeovers have made him a highly regarded clinician respected by dentists throughout the world. Dr. Addleson’s practice has been located in San Diego, California since his graduation from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. Dr. Addleson is one of fewer than 70 dentists in the world to have completed the challenging requirements to earn the highly respected title, Accredited Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). Dr. Addleson is proud to have been a Board Examiner for both Accreditation and Fellowship of the AACD. He served as Chairman of Education and Credentials for the Academy, the largest cosmetic dental academy in the world. Dr. Addleson went on to serve two terms as Chairman of The Board of Governors, now known as The American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry (ABCD). He helped to develop the rigorous criteria and examination requirements used by The ABCD to test dentists seeking the credentials of Accredited Dentist and Accredited Fellow of the AACD. In 2004, Dr. Addleson was elected President of the over 6,000-member American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Second only to his passion for providing beautiful, artistic smile design and smile makeovers, through modern dentistry for patients, is Dr. Addleson’s dedication to hands-on teaching and mentoring for dentists in San Diego.
