About Laura M. Barunas, DMD
Dr. Barunas grew up in Gilford, NH, a small town bordering Lake Winnipesaukee in the Belknap Mountains. She attended George Washington University in the District of Columbia and earned her bachelor’s degree as Magna Cum Laude in exercise science. After, she graduated with Magna Cum Laude again at Boston University, earning her master’s degree in nutrition. Next, she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine; and then to follow, earned her M.D. from University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine. She completed her dual residency through the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Before starting dental school, Dr. Barunas worked as a Registered Dietitian at Boston Medical Center and was also a certified personal trainer. Her primary interests are implantology, dentoalveolar, and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures. Currently living in Center City Philadelphia, Dr. Barunas loves spending time with friends, sampling local restaurants, and running along the Schuylkill River.
