About Kenya Mccalebb, DDS
I am thrilled to co-own this practice with Dr. Alexandra Jundt, who is also a fellow Meharrian, a friend, and someone who shares the same vision and passion in dentistry as I do. Together, we are extremely excited to provide you with outstanding exceptional dental and patient care, one smile at a time! — Dr. McCalebb Dr. Kenya McCalebb began her undergraduate educational journey at Northern Illinois University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in communication. She continued her post-baccalaureate education at Rush University in Chicago and received her Master of Science in biotechnology. Realizing that her passion for health, science, and technology would be more fulfilled in a career that serves and cares for people directly, Dr. McCalebb furthered her education in pursuit of a career in dentistry and obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Meharry Medical College. Her professional journey continued at Marquette University, where Dr. McCalebb completed her residency in advanced general dentistry, during which she was able to enhance her professional skills and knowledge. Her advanced training includes all aspects of dentistry, such as restorative and cosmetic procedures, with emphasis on comprehensive care and health awareness. After completing residency, Dr. McCalebb returned to the south side of Chicago where she joined a private practice as an associate in the Chatham community. She has also worked as an associate for a private practice in Wisconsin. In addition, she has provided services for men and women in the armed forces through mobile dentistry. She has been involved with many community outreach programs, including numerous health fairs and health screenings, to promote and enhance the importance of healthcare and dentistry. Dr. McCalebb’s strong commitment in raising awareness in oral healthcare has enabled her to participate in interviews with WVON, ABC 7 News, and Blackdoctor.org. She has shared her knowledge in oral healthcare as a panelist for organizations such as Young Ladies at All Times (YLAAT), One Church One School, and the Women’s Ministry of First Church of Deliverance. Dr. McCalebb is also a member of the American Dental Association and the Chicago Dental Society. Dr. McCalebb is originally a native of the South Shore community of Chicago. She enjoys exercising, bike riding, cooking, and traveling, as well as spending time with her family and friends. She’s an absolute animal lover, especially dogs. She also enjoys dancing, attending summer festivals in Chicago, and listening to a variety of music. Dr. McCalebb is a member of Apostolic Church of God in the Woodlawn community.
