About Kelley L. Borders, DMD
Dr. Kelley L. Borders began her career in dentistry at the young age of 15 as an “after school” dental assistant. Upon graduating from Plant City High School she became a dental assistant full-time and attended Hillsborough Community College to complete pre-requisites for dental hygiene school. After graduating in 1996 at the top of her class from Palm Beach Junior College with an A.S. in Dental Hygiene, immediately began completing classes for entry into dental school while working as a dental hygienist. After being accepted to the University of Florida College of Dentistry, she and her husband, Mike, relocated to Gainesville for the duration of her training. While in dental school, she completed several elective courses in a variety of subjects and readily gained the respect and recognition of her instructors and fellow dental students as evidenced by the many awards she received. Dr Borders earned her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Florida in 2003, graduating as class valedictorian. She then moved back to her home town of Plant City to begin her practice. Dr. Borders and her husband of 26 years live here in Plant City very close to her practice. They both enjoy the outdoors, especially gardening and hiking, and spending lots of time with family. Dr. Borders is the youngest of six children, all born and raised in Plant City, FL.
