About Judith J. Owens, MD

Judith J. Owens, M.D. is a member of the Harris County Medical Society, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery. She is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. She received her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and completed her internship and residency at Baylor’s affiliated hospitals. Her formal medical training included facial plastic surgery as well as the medical and surgical treatment of conditions of the face, head, and neck. Dr. Owens has received numerous awards for excellence in research. She has published papers in peer reviewed journals and presented scientific studies at national conventions. Dr. Owens now focuses her practice on nonsurgical ways to enhance facial appearance and effective ways to maintain healthy skin. In recent years there have been many advances in skincare science and in medical applications of laser and light technology. Dr. Owens is constantly reviewing and evaluating this evolving science and has incorporated the most effective and safest advancements into her practice. Today, her clients can achieve significant improvements in the quality and texture of their skin, facial appearance and self esteem by taking advantage of these new techniques. Dr. Owens strongly believes in an honest assessment of every client’s expectations to help them look and feel their best. Also, she recognizes that some expectations may not be achieved with skin care and nonsurgical treatments alone. Since she has experience operating alongside many outstanding plastic surgeons in Houston, she is in a comfortable position to refer any patient who may desire more in-depth surgical intervention to a skilled cosmetic surgeon. Judi is married to Dr. Jim Garza who specializes in the treatment of hernias. She also coordinates the sports and school activities for her kids, travels to medical meetings, and judges for competitive US figure skating.
