I went to high school locally, to Grace Christian School in Valrico, where I learned what hard work and accountability to others really means. Then I went to Clearwater Christian College where I met Elizabeth and life was never the same. I had a part time job in a dental office, but I actually was set on becoming an airline pilot. I had earned my pilot's license, and was working through the ratings, when tragedy struck my family, and we lost my mother to cancer. Long story short, I decided to change career paths, to something that I can contribute more directly to impacting lives, like the cancer doctors did for my family. We were then off to the University of Florida (Go Gators!) for dental school, where my wife and I took part in a dental missions trip to Honduras. After graduation in 2007, I bounced around multiple dental offices as an employee, never quite finding the right place for me. So I decided to do what anyone would do in a crashing economy- quit my job, take out a huge loan and open a business! I'm pleased to say that Apollo Beach has welcomed us with open arms since day 1, and I have hundreds of pages of testimonials to prove it. I am super proud of the reputation we have built here, and of the long lasting and strong relationships we've built with my family of patients. We put our heart and soul into creating the strongest, most beautiful smiles possible, while striving to make our patients actually enjoy coming here. I am so proud to say we are doing it every day, and doing it well. My favorite procedure in dentistry is the CEREC one visit crown. I get to use a computer to digitally design your new tooth, and make that crown on site with a milling machine, while we wait 20-45 minutes. It's incredible, and I feel so fortunate to be able to use this on a daily basis. It's enormously fun......... for me at least :) But seriously, you will be amazed by this machine, and will be glad you don't have to return for a second visit. As a dental student, I earned multiple awards for Ethics, Practice Management and Equilibration, a form of bite adjustment that involves reshaping the surfaces of the teeth. I also served as a teacher’s assistant for CEREC during my senior year, eventually returning as a clinical instructor. I’ve also lectured to local college students about careers and technology in dentistry. I have completed a variety of courses and seminars to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental technology and treatments, including CEREC® one-visit dentistry, full-mouth reconstruction, TMJ treatment and root canal therapy. I have over 9 years of experience with CEREC and have placed hundreds of restorations. My professional memberships include the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the West Coast Dental Association, the Hillsborough County Dental Society, and the South Shore Chamber of Commerce. While planning the details of my practice, I spent countless hours studying businesses that continually exceed their clients’ expectations. I discovered that the most successful ones have a few things in common: they prioritize customer service, like Ritz-Carlton and BMW; they understand the importance of efficiency, like Southwest Airlines and Ford; and they build their reputation on innovative ideas and thinking outside the box, like IKEA, Amazon, and Williams-Sonoma. I have taken what I’ve learned and created a dental office unlike anything you’ve ever experienced, from the architecture to the personalized touch. The difference really is in the details.
