About Jeffrey T. Huisman, DDS
As a patient at Huisman Family Dentistry, you are an important part of your own health care team. This is one of the primary principles of our practice. Dr. Huisman does not believe in pushing you to do anything you are not comfortable with. Rather, he uses his considerable skill and outstanding training to collaborate with you for optimum health in a true family practice. Dr. Jeffrey Huisman is from a family of dentists. His father, Dr. Tom Huisman, began practicing in 1972, and Jeff started working in his father’s office before he even graduated from Zeeland High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Calvin College and then a DDS from the University Of Detroit Mercy School Of Dentistry. In 2001, Dr. Huisman joined his father’s thriving practice. They worked as a team until Dr. Tom Huisman’s retirement in 2010. A graduate of the acclaimed Dawson Academy, he continues to stay abreast of the latest advances and techniques and has trained with renowned practitioners and academics in the field of dentistry. He is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Jeff and his wife, Amanda, both musicians, met while singing in Calvin College’s Alumni choir. Today, Dr. Jeff teaches and participates in programs at Christ Memorial Church in Holland and enjoys cooking. Dr. Jeff and his wife are the proud parents of a 9 year old, 7 year old twins, a 5 year old, and a 3 year old.
