About James G. Shunk, DMD
Dr. Shunk became a Dentist after a short career in the field of Engineering. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of California where he received a Bachelors of Science in Physics. He then attended Southern Illinois University’s School of Dental Medicine where he earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine. Upon graduating, he stayed for one year at Southern Illinois University’s School of Dental Medicine to do research. During that time he published the article “In vitro and in vivo measurement of remaining dentin thickness.” Dr. Shunk provides high-quality dental care and focuses on cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, and implant procedures.
