About James P. Fitzgerald, DMD
Dr. Fitzgerald, or “Dr. Fitz” as he’s called, focuses on helping his patients live lives that are healthy, happy and whole. He seeks to provide predictable, long lasting dentistry designed to help people keep their teeth, and their quality of life, for a lifetime. Before attending dental school, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Notre Dame, and his Master’s of Science degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Institute of Biotechnology’s Program in Molecular Medicine. He earned his DMD from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. After graduation, he completed a General Practice Residency at Danbury Hospital and a Fellowship in Periodontology at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Fitzgerald is committed to ongoing education to be able to offer patients the care they deserve. He is a long time member of the Connecticut Study Club for Excellence in Dentistry, a part of the world wide Seattle Study Club organization. Dr. Fitz lives in Ellington, CT with his teenage son and spends his time going to High School soccer games and slowly learning to play a few different musical instruments.
