About Harsimrat K. Bal, DDS
Hello and warm greetings to you! I am delighted to have spent time getting to know many of you, since September of 2009. Following in the legacy of Dr. Diminyatz, Dr. Lukes, Dr. Lee and their respective associates, I've met all the existing patients, and I thank you for your support, loyalty and referrals. I always look forward to getting acquainted with new patients and earning more trust. In case you are curious, I graduated from University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry at San Francisco (http://dental.pacific.edu/), earning my DDS which sharpened skills learned as I completed my BDS in India. You know, it was an amazing experience to go to dental school again after already being a dentist and having run my own private practice for six years in India. I had a completely different perspective. Indeed, the new technologies, particulary implant placement was very intriguing. Having traveled across Europe (Poland, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and England) and Asia (Malaysia and Singapore) as well as Canada (I earned dental licensure in Alberta) and the US, I think it is a great blessing to have moved into the beautiful Sacramento area. My husband, Jesse, is an entrepreneur and great father to our two children: Seerith (daughter) and Sehej (son). I enjoy the outdoors. You might even catch me, my family and friends riding bicycles on the American River Bike Trail, a bicyclist's paradise. I have been riding very regularly. My longest ride is a 100 mile round trip; 8 hours riding time down and back up, not including water stops, from my home, close to Folsom Dam, to UC Davis. My philosophy as a dentist is rather simple: I want my patients to be healthy patients for life, understanding that oral health is an important contributor to overall systemic health! I treat everyone like family and go all out to make you feel comfortable, as does my staff. I also feel that it is important to understand what is happening in your mouth. I will explain when something needs attention to improve your dental health as well as your options when treatment is needed. I always love to compliment the positive things in your mouth. I am happy to see improvements in the oral hygiene of my patients. It is so exciting for me to see shrinking pocket numbers. I like to keep the office atmosphere warm and relaxed and I strive to provide the best service and the best dentistry possible. I am glad to take care of most extractions, root canals, Fast Braces and Invisalign, and implant placement as well as restoration all under one roof.
