About Gina Piccioni, DMD
Dr. Gina Piccioni was born and raised in Pennsylvania where her interests in biology and fine art were initiated and developed at a young age. Because she graduated high school as 1982's Salutatorian, she was accepted into Albright College's Biology/Pre-Med curriculum as a Walton Scholar. Under the guidance of her career counselor at Albright, Dr. Gehres, she participated in a dental externship and was ""bitten"" by the idea of becoming a dentist. Dr. Gina was accepted to the University of Pittsburgh's School of Dental Medicine, and during her last summer break went to Tallahasse to complete a dental externship for the Federal Department of Corrections. She returned and graduated with the class of 1990 to then immediately head west to attend a General Practice Residency at the University of Colorado's Health and Science Center. This residency provided insight into hospital dentistry, oral surgery, anesthesiology, pediatric dental care, and treating the compromised patient. In 1994 Dr. Gina moved to Chicago to call it home and has been practicing dentistry in the area ever since. She is a member of the AGD (pre-fellow) IAGD, and recently the AACD. Dedication and respect for her profession and career has her attending many seminars and online sites to stay current with the ever changing technology that makes dentistry better than ever for her patients. She became the owner of River Forest Dental Studio in 2012, and enjoys providing compassionate dental care to all her patients.
