About Gerald Roodzant, DDS
Dr. Roodzant grew up in Lakewood and attended Valley Christian High School. Upon graduation, he attended Cerritos College for two years and then UCLA for two years as an undergraduate, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975. He then attended UCLA School of Dentistry and graduated in 1979. As a member of the Cerritos College Foundation Board for 15 years, and as a member of the UCLA School of Dentistry Board of Counselors, he has contributed to both alma maters with distinction, and was recently inaugurated in the first class of the Cerritos College Hall of Fame. Service to community is paramount in Dr. Roodzant’s life. A 24 year member of the Kiwanis Club of La Mirada, and twice its President, he is able to partner with other civic-minded individuals to improve the general quality of life in La Mirada, and to specific needs as they arise. He continues to serve on the Boards of multiple non-profit agencies in the health field, and is a generous contributor to children’s charities locally and globally. He is a member of Yorba Linda Friends Church, and plans a dental mission to India in the near future. Education in the field of Dentistry is constant, including the advancements in procedures, materials and most of all, technology. His thirty three years of practice embrace the ever-changing health care landscape, improvement and commitment to patient care and comfort are his office mission.
