About Gary F. Alder, DDS
Dr. Alder is a graduate of Northwestern University Dental School. He completed a post graduate residency at Rush University Medical Center serving in General Dental Residency. He subsequently practiced at Rush in private practice and was the Director or the General Dental Residency for several years. He has trained dozens of dentists in the management of medically compromised patients, cosmetic dental procedures, dental implants, bone grafting, dental sleep medicine and a full range of special dental care. He participated in research involving management of patients receiving head and neck radiation and sleep disturbances. He has a vast back ground and experience in the management of advanced dental/medical problems and enjoys complex challenges. Following closure of the Rush University Medical Center dental residency and Dental Group at Rush Dr. Alder relocated his office to River Forest, Illinois and continues to serve on the medical staff at Rush. Dr. Alder is also an Assistant Professor of Rush University Medical School. He offers routine dental care in his office in River Forest and dental care for those that require hospitalization at Rush University Medical Center and the Rush Surgicenter. Dr. Alder is active in many dental organizations and has served as director of the Chicago Dental Society and as Trustee of the Illinois State Dental Society. He serves on several committees and is actively involved with continuing education. We welcome our patients that have followed us from Rush and others in our new suburban neighborhood. Dr. Alder holds Fellowship status of the American Academy of General Dentistry and is a Diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management.
