About Eliot Essenfeld, DDS
I believe that our patients want the best options for dental treatment, delivered with genuine care! Being able to form long term relationships with my patients and to really get to know them allows me to better meet our patients’ dental needs. I was born and raised in Stamford, CT. I grew up around the dental profession because my father was a general dentist in Stamford for over 40 years. I always found dentistry fascinating because it combines the science of medicine along with the artistry of creating beautiful smiles. My father had great relationships with all of his patients and I always wanted to do the same. I graduated from Brandeis University in 1985 with a B.S. in Biochemistry. I then went on to the University of Michigan Dental School, and graduated in 1989 with my doctorate in dental surgery. After practicing in Ann Arbor, MI, I moved back to Stamford and currently live there with my wife, Stacey and my twin sons, Ethan and Sam. I practiced in Stamford until 2000. I then joined practices in Darien with my current partner, Dr. Quyhnchi Vanlang. We both are committed to the same level of care and feel that our partnership allows our patients the best experience possible. I believe that preventive care and patient education are the keys to excellent oral health. I take pride in offering our patients the best possible treatment options in order to provide highly esthetic and functional smiles. Both Dr. Vanlang and I consider ourselves very lucky to work with our team of dedicated professionals who truly care about our patients’ well-being and dental results. I am a member of the American Dental Association, The Connecticut State Dental Association and the Greater Stamford Dental Society. Every year I take many hours of continuing education courses in all aspect of general dentistry including cosmetic and implant dentistry. I am also an alumnus of The Dawson Academy. Part of my goal is to make sure that through continuing education we can continue to provide the best in dentistry to our community.
