About Ed D. Paz, DMD
Dr. de la Paz was born in Miami, Florida, and although he lived in Canada from ages 6 to 14, he has since then resided in Florida. He attended college at the University of Florida where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology and Cell Science. His dental training consists of a Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry and completion of a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. He has been in private practice in the Tampa Bay area since 1992 and focuses on providing comprehensive dental care including family care, dental implants and cosmetic treatments. Dr. de la Paz is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association and the West Coast Dental Association. He is also a charter member of the Tampa branch of the Seattle Study Club, a nationally recognized organization committed to excellence in Dentistry. He has been very happily married to his wife, Donna, for over 25 years and together they are the proud parents of three wonderful children: Emily, Alex and Ethan. During the last 15 years, Dr. de la Paz has been involved as a youth ice hockey coach with a number of local clubs, and currently serves on multiple boards and committees for the Lightning High School Hockey League and Statewide Hockey in Florida. He enjoys listening to music, travel, exploring the outdoors, golf, tennis and spending as much time as possible with his family.
