About Don G. Timpton, DDS
Dr. Don G. Timpton is the founder and president of Carmel Commons Dental. He is a native New Orleanian who relocated to Charlotte in 1999. He completed his undergraduate studies in Chemistry at Xavier University in New Orleans, La. He graduated from Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC in 1988 and later completed extensive post-doctoral training and certification in General Dentistry Orthodontics and Implant dentistry. He is an designated Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, a Diplomate in the Academy of Gp Orthodontics, an Associate Fellow in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, a Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and actively maintains membership in the American Dental Association, National Dental Association, Academy for Implants and Transplants, Alabama Implant Study Group, A.J. Williams Dental Study Group, Charlotte Medical, Dental and Pharmaceutical Society, and the Charlotte Dental Society. Dr. Timpton was recently named on the Charlotte City Magazine’s 2008 Top Dentists List. He served on the CPCC Dental Assistants Advisory Board, and volunteers by providing charitable dental care to local and international undeserved populations. Dr. Timpton believes it is his life’s calling to practice dentistry and has great passion for providing each patient with meticulous treatment planning and individualized, comprehensive, expert care. He is married and is the proud father of two daughters. He enjoys traveling, camping, golfing, fishing and is a wonderful cook.
