About Dennis W. Sindel, DDS
Dr. Dennis Sindel earned a BS in Psychology from The Ohio State University in 1978. Upon graduation, he was accepted and enrolled in The OSU College of Dentistry graduating in 1981. After graduation, he joined the United States Dental Corps as a General Dental Officer holding the rank of Lieutenant. He practiced General Dentistry for 7 years in Camp Lejeune, NC, Naval Base Subic Bay, Republic of the Philippines, then reported to Naval Base Charleston, SC. In 1988 he was accepted to the prestigious graduate Prosthodontics Program at the National Naval Dental Center in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Sindel graduated with a Certificate in Prosthodontics in 1990. Following graduation, he transferred to the Naval Submarine Base Groton Ct. where he served as the Prosthodontic Department Head for 3 years attaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander. After his tour, he ended his commission in 1993 to join Dr. Bruce Elliott in private practice in Waterford, CT. His scope of practice includes all phases of Prosthodontics (crowns, bridges, veneers, implant restorations including full-arch reconstructions, partial and complete dentures) and general restorative dentistry. Besides practicing full-time, Dr. Sindel teaches Prosthodontics at the University Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Sindel is married to the former Amy Bricker of Shelby, Ohio since 1982. They have a daughter, Rebecca and a son David. He greatly enjoys golf, hiking, biking, and traveling as leisure activities. His travel goals are to visit every state and every continent.
