About Clifford V. Putten, DDS
Dr. Van Putten has been transforming smiles with Restoration Dentistry® in the Hudsonville area since 1983. From the beginning, his focus has been help patients be active participants in their dental health. He evaluates each situation and determines what needs to be done to restore and keep healthy teeth for life. Achieving a smile with harmony and balance is more than calculations and numbers. Restorative dentistry is an outward manifestation of what’s inside and brings back what trauma, decay and wear has ruined. Dr. Van Putten’s well-rounded and extensive education uniquely prepares him for the job. In addition to comprehensive training as a dentist, including advanced training at the Pankey Institute, he attended Kendall College of Art and Design where Dr. Van Putten was on the President’s list. This additional training and his artist’s eye gives him unique skills. When planning cosmetic cases, Dr. Van Putten takes a conservative, restorative approach that retains more tooth structure and allows the patient to “test drive” the results before they are permanent. Although this is more time consuming for Dr. Van Putten, he believes it’s worth the extra effort to ensure patients are happy with their smiles.
