About Carole A. Boyd, DDS
Dr. Boyd received her doctor of dental surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1984. She built a private practice in North Dallas in 1984 and was an instructor at Baylor College of Dentistry. In 1988, Dr. Boyd sold her practice and returned to school to further her education. She attended the Dental and Medical Schools at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio from 1988 through 1992. During this time she received a certificate in Dental Diagnostic Science, which offered advanced training in Oral Medicine, Radiology, and Forensic Odontology. She also completed fellowships in Geriatric Dentistry and Medical Ethics. While in San Antonio, Dr. Boyd was instrumental in building the Ryan White Dental Clinic at the San Antonio AIDS Foundation, where she was Dental Director. Dr. Boyd has lectured extensively and performed research about HIV Disease and AIDS. Upon returning to Dallas in 1992, she re-established the Dental Clinic at the Nelson-Tebedo Clinic For AIDS Research and was Director of Dental Services until 1996. Dr. Boyd was appointed a clinical assistant professor at Baylor College of Dentistry in 1995. She is now in full time private practice at Highland Park Place.
