About Carlo Deleon, DDS
Dr. Carlo DeLeon completed his undergraduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University in Electrical Engineering. He then worked as an Engineer in the nuclear industry for a total of four years until he realized his true passion in dentistry. Dr. DeLeon pursued a dental career and earned his dental degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. He continued his professional development in an advanced education residency program at Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), where he focused on special needs patients, full mouth rehabilitation cases, cosmetic cases, and CAD/CAM dentistry. In his practice of dentistry at MUSC, he focused on comprehensive care grounded in evidence based dentistry. Dr. DeLeon is committed to helping with the problem of access to dental care by volunteering at St. James Free Clinic in Ashland, VA. He also participated in dental missions in the past like the Jamaica Project, Dental Access Day in South Carolina, and Dental Christian Fellowship – Mission in Ecuador. Dr. DeLeon loves dentistry and he finds the skills he developed in the practice of engineering complement his attention to details in dentistry. He is a great listener and his patient’s concern is of utmost importance to him. When Dr. DeLeon is not volunteering or working, he can be found spending time with his dog (Bruno) and traveling. You can also find him spending time with his large family and playing with his two nieces and three nephews.
