About Brian W. Maples, DMD
Dr. Brian Maples was born in Minnesota and grew up in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Dr. Maples attended the Episcopal School of Jacksonville and graduated in 2003. Despite his love for northeast Florida, Dr. Maples decided to move to New England after high school, where he attended Boston College and studied Biochemistry. It did not take long for him to fall in love with New England and he spent four additional years at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Maples completed a General Practice Residency at Fletcher Allen Health Care/University of Vermont, in Burlington, VT. Dr. Maples moved back to Jacksonville in 2012 to start working with his brother, Andrew. They have worked together at Advanced Dental Services of Jacksonville ever since. Throughout all of his career, Dr. Maples has enjoyed learning and completing different dental procedures but above all he has appreciated being able to develop relationships with his patients. He enjoys and values staying current in all fields of dentistry by completing many continuing education courses including classes on topics like implant dentistry, aesthetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, and TMJ disorders. Dr. Maples is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, and a local Spear CE study group. Dr. Maples married his college sweetheart, Alex, in 2012 and they had their first child, Roman, in late 2014. They are expecting their second child who is due in June, 2017. Outside of work, Dr. Maples enjoys spending time with wife (Alex), son (Roman - Born in 2014), daughter (Maria - Born in 2017), and dog (BeeCee). Dr. Maples is an avid adventure racer, cyclist and golfer. He enjoys watching and playing most all sports (especially the Jaguars) and spending time in the mountains of New England and North Carolina. He could not be where he is today without the help of his family, parents, friends, and patients – for that, he genuinely thanks all of them for their continued support.
