About Benjamin J. Gubernick, DDS
Dr. Benjamin J. Gubernick was born in Boston, Massachusetts and moved to Florida with his family when he was only six months old. He was raised in Palm City and considered himself a Florida native. Dr. Gubernick knew from a young age that he wanted to become a dentist due to the unique blend of science and art that dentistry entails. Upon graduating from the University of Florida in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, he moved to Baltimore, Maryland, to pursue his dream at the prestigious University Of Maryland College Of Dental Surgery. Dr. Gubernick graduated with his doctorate in dental surgery (DDS) in 2015. He completed a General Practice Residency at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. This additional post-graduate training allowed him to enhance his skills in restorative and surgical dentistry. Dr. Gubernick is pleased to be a part of Flex Dental and looks forward to being an integral part of the Tampa community and helping his neighbors achieve excellent oral health. Dr. Gubernick is sensitive to the needs of his patients and is dedicated to providing quality care. He appreciates the ability to heal patients not only physically, but emotionally and socially as well. Understanding that dentistry is an evolving science, he is committed to continuing education for the betterment of his patients. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dedicated to his community, Dr. Gubernick volunteers at the St. Pete Free Health Clinic to provide general dental services. He is a member of the Bryan Glazer JCC and a member of the Schaarai Zedek Jewish congregation. When not working, he enjoys participating in local Tampa Bay Club Sports, exercising at the JCC, enjoying the food and restaurants that Tampa has to offer, and spending time with his friends and family. He met his wife, Becky, in Gainesville, Florida, at the University of Florida, and they were married on January 20th, 2019. Becky is an Academic Advisor at the University of South Florida.
