About Barry H. Buchanan, DDS
Dr. Buchanan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Baylor University and the Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) from the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. Since 1987, Dr. Buchanan has practiced general dentistry in Dallas. Dr. Buchanan is focused on providing his patients with the highest quality dental care using the latest in advanced dental techniques, while building long lasting, trust-based relationships with all his patients. In 2003, Dr. Buchanan became a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. Achieving Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry is one of the few added distinctions a general dentist can achieve. The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) is the only professional association exclusively serving the interests and needs of a general dentist. To earn Fellowship in the AGD, dentist must take more than 500 hours of educational courses in various disciplines. Candidates must also pass a rigorous exam. Dr. Buchanan is one of only 7 percent of dentists who have achieved this honor.
