About Anakarina Deangelis, DDS

Dr. Anakarina DeAngelis was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. During summer breaks, she worked with her uncles who were dentists in their practices. It was this adventure that led her to pursue her passion for serving the community and becoming a dentist. Dr. DeAngelis went to the “Universidad Central de Venezuela” and earned her DDS degree in 1997, where she practiced 3 years. She had visited California during her teenage years and fell in love with it and decided after working for a few years to take an extended vacation to San Diego. After a few months here, she met a group of Dentists who needed an Orthodontic research assistant for a private project. Dr. DeAngelis earned her American DDS degree from University of Southern California (USC) where she was honored on the Dean’s list during her years at the school. She joined their team and got to enjoy our wonderful Southern California so much that she decided to get her United States dentist license to practice and stay for good. During her board studies over the next year, she met and married her husband Mario and they started a family. At USC she was inspired by some of her mentors to practice “Biomimetic dentistry” which is the art of reproducing natural-looking teeth with the most conservative treatment to return their strength, function, and esthetics. Also, she was part of the Hispanic Student Dental Association, Chapter USC and volunteer and a Spanish Instructor to teach dental students how to communicate with Hispanic Patients. Dr. Anakarina DeAngelis, dentist in Carlsbad CA is unique and well rounded; she has worked in community clinic settings. DeAngelis Family Dentistry is her dream boutique office which has a calm environment using aromatherapy with essential oils to relax patients. She also believes in taking Continuing Education Courses to keep updated on the newest techniques and advances.
