About Ali Charafeddine, MD
A fellowship-trained plastic surgeon, Dr. Ali Charafeddine adds his dedication to patient care and excellence in surgical outcomes to our accomplished team of plastic surgeons in Ann Arbor, MI, at the Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Ali Charafeddine, M.D., completed his plastic surgery training at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. During his training, Dr. Charafeddine gained extensive experience in both reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery. His mentors are the world’s leading experts in the field. After his plastic and reconstructive surgery training, Dr. Charafeddine was selected to pursue an additional year of fellowship training with a focus on advanced facial Aesthetic Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, in Cleveland, Ohio, under the mentorship of Professor James Zins. During this fellowship, he focused on gaining additional skills in facelift surgery, upper and lower eyelid surgery, functional and aesthetic rhinoplasty, and endoscopic surgery. As a surgeon-scientist, Dr. Charafeddine spent 3 years of dedicated clinical and basic science research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland, and Emory University. He published his scientific findings in top peer-reviewed journals, including Nature Medicine, The American Journal of Transplantation, and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
