Candidates considering a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) surgery will find it helpful to understand the various factors that affect the total cost of a plastic surgery procedure. The following table offers an overview of potential factors that will contribute to the final price.
| Cost Factor | Explanation | | ---------- | ---------- | | Provider | Training, experience, specialty | | Consultation | May or may not count towards the final cost of the procedure | | Anesthesiologist fees | Training, experience | | Location of procedure | Facility fees vary by region and are typically higher for larger facilities | | Recovery expenses | Special equipment, follows ups, etc. |
The following outline can help give you a better idea of the questions to ask and factors to consider when preparing for a consultation.
The total Brazilian butt lift cost begins to increase as the additional variables are added. Other medical professionals in the room (anesthesiologist if needed, nurses, and surgical assistants), medical tools/supplies used (needles, sutures, gauze, gowns, gloves, etc.), medications administered before, during, and after the Brazilian butt lift (perhaps sedatives, painkillers, antibiotics), and the fee for using the hospital or facility’s procedure or operating room.
We’ll also point out one more variable, on top of the expenses we’ve already mentioned you will probably encounter additional personal costs during your Brazilian butt lift cosmetic experience. We’re referring to consultation fees from potential providers, travel expenses, pre-surgical care, missed work, and any recovery supplies outside of what the surgical facility provides. Obviously, these costs will vary significantly by individual.
The table below breaks down costs in major cities across the U.S.
| State | Cost | | ---------- | ---------- | | New York, NY | $8,000 to $10,000 | | Chicago, IL | $4,000 to $7,000 | | Miami, FL | $4,000 to $6,000 | | Birmingham, AL | $4,000 to $6,000 | | Austin, TX | $7,000 to $10,000 | | Los Angeles, CA | $8,000 to $10,000 |
| Country | Average Cost | | ---------- | ---------- | | Canada | $8,000 to $13,000 | | Mexico | $3,000 to $5,000 | | Colombia | $5,000 to $8,000 | | United Kingdom | $5,000 to $11,000 | | Australia | $4,500 to $8,500 | | Japan | $4,000 to $8,000 | | Dubai | $5,000 to $10,000 |
Basically, cosmetic procedures are not covered by insurance and reconstructive surgeries might be. Hybrid procedures that offer dual aesthetic and functional benefits may not be covered despite the functional benefit. To keep it simple, your Brazilian butt lift is not going to be covered by your medical insurance.
A Brazilian butt lift is a surgical procedure to create a rounder, more voluminous butt with simultaneous removal of unwanted fat. A good candidate for this buttock enhancement will need an appropriate amount of fat in certain areas of the body for transfer. If using your own fat to create your desired results in your posterior area sounds appealing, hopefully this article has given you an idea of questions for your initial consultation and a better understanding of pricing.
