About William E. Sponsel, MD
Within the William E. Sponsel, M.D., P.A Service, there are approximately 1000 visits per year, including 200 new patients. More than 300 major glaucoma surgical procedures and 750 major glaucoma related procedures are performed yearly with an additional 287 laser procedures. Many of these patients are highly complex referred by other glaucoma specialists, retinal, corneal and other ophthalmic subspecialists. A high proportion of cases involve multiple procedures, many of them are highly innovative and often on the inidvidual’s only remaining seeing eye.
