About Walter W. Tom, MD, FACS
Dr. Tom is a cosmetic surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive technologies developed for advanced skin care such as Fraxel, Thermage, IPL Photofacial, laser hair removal, spider vein sclerotherapy, fillers, Botox and facial skin care peels. Dr. Tom’s philosophy is that cosmetic surgery or plastic surgery should encompass the whole person. This approach has lead to many satisfied patients who appreciate his personal, individual approach. Many of our patients become our friends. Education is important so all consultations are complementary. Dr. Walter Tom is a proud associate of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons, member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Physicians and American Society of Lipo-Suction Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Society of Cosmetic Breast Surgery. Walter W. Tom, MD, is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Past Member of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons, and member of the American College of Phlebology. Dr. Tom graduated from the University of Michigan and then attended medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his General and Vascular Surgical Residency at William Beaumont Hospital and his Organ Transplant Fellowship at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
