About Seth P. Lerner, MD
Seth P. Lerner, M.D. is board-certified in dermatology. Before studying medicine at Boston University, Dr. Lerner was a history major at Columbia College. After his internship at Long Island Jewish Hospital in New York, Dr. Lerner completed his residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in dermatology. Dr. Lerner developed and patented a surgical instrument which enables the surgeon to maintain better control during wound repair surgery. This device is called the Lerner Skin Hook. Dr. Lerner is on-staff at Bridgeport Hospital, and is Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the Yale School of Medicine. Early cancer detection is a prime focus of the practice. Recently, Dr. Lerner served as an investigator in a multicenter study, for the development of a computerized system to identify early melanoma. The practice also offers an array or cosmetic treatments as well as sensitive care for its patients suffering from a variety of skin diseases. After more than 20 years in Connecticut, Dr. Lerner enjoys working in a practice that caters to children and adults offering personalized care suited to each individual's needs.
