About Sarah I. Fernandez, MD
Dr. Sarah Fernandez is a Nemours pediatric plastic surgeon and an assistant professor at University of Florida Health – Jacksonville. She’s co-authored several peer-reviewed articles and book chapters related to craniofacial, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and has presented her findings at regional and national meetings. I am an active member of the American Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Association, the Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Florida Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Association. On a more local level, I’m one of the physician leaders of the Snyder Family Cleft and Craniofacial Center at Wolfson Children’s Hospital, and I’m a faculty member for the University of Florida Craniofacial Fellowship. Finally, I participate in a twice-annual surgical cleft lip and palate mission trip to San Pedro Sula, Honduras, through Interplast South.
