About Rina M. Allawh, MD
Rina Mary Allawh, MD is a dermatologist who performs adult and pediatric medical dermatology, skin cancer treatment and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Allawh grew up in Syracuse, NY and her family currently resides in Reading, PA. She graduated from Pennsylvania State University, summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science. She received her medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine with highest distinction as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society and Gold Humanism Honor Society. She then completed an Internship in Internal Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine/Hahnemann University Hospital. She completed her Dermatology training at Drexel University College of Medicine/Hahnemann University Hospital and Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Allawh has a special interest and research focus on skin cancer prevention and management in solid organ transplant recipients, high-risk immunosuppressed patients. Other interests include acne, psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, rashes and eczema among others. Dr. Allawh is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Philadelphia Dermatologic Society, Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology, Women’s Dermatology Society and American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery. She has presented nationally and authored several peer-reviewed journal articles. Dr. Allawh enjoys spending time with her family, running, cooking and dancing.
