About Richard W. Joseph, DMD
Dr. Richard W. Joseph is a native of Jacksonville and a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta for both undergraduate and dental degrees. After graduation, he spent an additional four years completing his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Grady Memorial Hospital and Emory University School of Medicine and Affiliated Hospitals. He received graduate training in other specialties including general surgery, plastic surgery, ENT, internal medicine and pathology. He also completed a one year residency in anesthesiology. Dr. Joseph has been practicing in Jacksonville for over 30 years. Dr. Joseph is an assistant professor at the University of Florida and has participated in medical missionary trips to several countries. He also served as Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and as Vice-Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville. Dr. Joseph is board certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He served as president of the Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He has authored several professional publications and lectures both nationally and internationally.
