About Mennen T. Gallas, MD
Dr. Mennen T. Gallas, MD, FACS, has received board certification in both plastic and general surgery and specializes in procedures of the breast, body, and face. As a plastic and general surgeon, Dr. Gallas has developed comprehensive knowledge of the body as a whole. There are different levels of plastic surgery education and training. Dr. Gallas went the full distance to ensure that his education and training would separate him from his peers. Dr. Gallas received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan before earning a Master of Science degree in applied physiology and a medical degree from the Chicago Medical School. Following graduation, Dr. Gallas completed a residency in general surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, where he underwent over five years of training. Afterwards, he completed a two-year residency in plastic surgery at St. Joseph Hospital. It was during his residency years that Dr. Gallas trained with Dr. Frank Gerow, one of the two inventors of the silicone breast implant. This notable experience gave him a unique perspective on breast aesthetics, including breast augmentation, mastopexy, revisional breast surgery, and breast implant removal with en bloc capsulectomies. Prior to entering practice, Dr. Gallas pursued his interests in plastic surgery and received his fellowship training in reconstructive microsurgery, where he gained much experience in reconstructive plastic surgery, including breast reconstruction, at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Gallas is the founder and medical director of Gallas Plastic Surgery. For over 20 years, Dr. Gallas has been helping patients realize the highest quality of cosmetic results. Dr. Gallas offers breast, body, and facial cosmetic procedures to his Katy and West Houston patients. Dr. Gallas received certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. In addition to these certifications, Dr. Gallas is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons—a title given to represent the highest level of education, training, qualifications, surgical ability, and ethical conduct. Dr. Gallas has been named one of America’s Top Plastic Surgeons by the Consumer’s Research Council of America and has been repeatedly voted one of Houston’s “Top Docs” by H Texas Magazine. He has also been voted best plastic surgeon and cosmetic surgeon in Katy, TX by Living Magazine for the past several years. Dr. Gallas has spent years developing lasting professional relationships with his patients. His goal is to build a practice based on understanding and empathy, where the patient’s concerns are listened to and high-quality results are achieved. Dr. Gallas’ extensive education and training allow him to individualize each patient’s procedure for lasting results. Dr. Gallas specializes in a variety of breast, body, and face procedures.
