About Megan Murphy, Tattoo Specialist
Megan is a Detroit-based, Emmy-Award winning, union makeup artist and licensed cosmetologist specializing in commercial, production, media, bridal, special event makeup and lash extensions. Long before she had her parents’ permission, Megan would practice applying shadow, liner, and lipstick on her preteen face. “I would use my entire allowance on makeup. I was obsessed with the newest shades and products.” Her makeup skills were soon sought out by her friends and classmates who became her first clients, and she quickly developed a passion for making others look and feel beautiful. While she was in cosmetology school, Megan joined the MAC Cosmetics team where she became a MAC certified artist and gained an intense training in makeup artistry, color theory, HD makeup, camouflage, contouring and period makeup. After 5 years with MAC, she moved on to Chanel and refined her artistry with their luxury makeup line. Now, as a freelance makeup artist, her work is about finding the balance between looking beautiful on camera and flawless in person. She is passionate about her clients and continues to style for weddings, photo shoots, music videos, and celebrity appearances. Megan has been featured in high-end beauty publications such as: Elle Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Allure, Hour Magazine Detroit, and People Magazine.
