About Mauricio C. Tijerino, DMD
Dr. Mauricio C. Tijerino attended The University of Florida College of Dentistry in Gainesville, FL where he obtained his D.M.D. degree. He graduated with honors in the top 10 percent of his class. He then completed a General Practice and Hospital Dentistry Residency at The University of Alabama, Birmingham. He has continued his education by attending the world renowned Pankey Institute for advanced dental education in Key Biscayne, FL., as well as completing a two year hands-on continuing education course on dental implants. He is also an Invisalign Certified Provider. Dr. Tijerino's yearly continuing education credits far exceeds the minimun state requirements. He focuses his continuing education on aesthetics, full mouth rehabilitation, and dental implant reconstructions. Dr. Tijerino has now been practicing dentistry full time for eleven years. He also has two faculty teaching positions: 1) Courtesy Faculty at the University of Florida College of Dentistry Hialeah Clinic, where he supervises clinic and lectures on dental implants to dental residents, and 2) Co-chair of aesthetics at Community Smiles-Lindsay Hopkins Institute where he supervises clinic and lectures to dental residents on aesthetic dentistry.
