About Maria Yaldo, MD
Dr. Yaldo graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wayne State University in Detroit. She continued on at Wayne State University School of Medicine to earn her medical degree where she graduated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Her formal training included an internship year at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn followed by dermatology residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago where she served as chief resident her senior year. Throughout her professional career, Dr. Yaldo has written numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and has authored book chapters in dermatology textbooks. She has presented at dermatological society meetings and remains active as a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Yaldo practices general medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology for adult and pediatric patients. Her clinical interests include skin cancer prevention and treatment, psoriasis, acne, eczema, and Botox/filler injections. She values the importance of patient education and customizing a comprehensive treatment plan for each individual patient. Dr. Yaldo is happy to be back home and to treat patients with the best quality care she can provide. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family in addition to traveling, hiking, running, and trying new restaurants.
